Seller membership

What the subscription includes, how the billing permission you sign works and what happens if a charge does not go through.

What it includes

The seller membership is what lets you publish and sell. Today it costs 5 USDC per month and is paid in USDC from your balance, with no card and no bank details.

  • Publishing templates and editing them whenever you want.
  • Your listings translated into all eight languages.
  • Your sale prices and your discount codes.
  • Your seller statistics, your reviews and a public reply to each one.

If going to Sell takes you straight to the wizard with no membership in sight, the subscription is not active right now and you can sell without that cost.

The permission you sign

We store no payment method and cannot touch your balance at will. You sign a permission once in the billing contract, with two limits written on chain: a cap per charge and a period.

  • The operator can only charge up to that cap, and only once per period.
  • The destination is always the treasury. There is no other possible destination.
  • Each charge has a floor of 10% of the signed cap, so nobody can burn your period with a token charge.
  • The cap that can be signed never goes above 1,000,000 USDC.
  • Changing the contract's treasury waits 48 hours, and anyone can see the proposal while it waits.

If the price ever rose above your cap, the charge simply does not happen: you would see the At risk state and could sign the new cap. You can never be charged more than you signed.

The path of a charge

From the permission you sign to the treasury, with the branch that opens if a charge does not go through.

The permission sets the cap and the period; outside those two limits no charge is possible.

The recurring charge

You sign once and from then on the charge is automatic, always inside what you authorised.

  • 5 USDC is charged once per month from your USDC balance, with the gas covered.
  • Before each charge we notify you by email and in the bell, so you can top up.
  • In Subscription you see the state, the cost, the next charge and the history, with a link to each transaction on the explorer.
  • A period covered by a code shows as free in that history, and still counts as a period.

Failed charge, grace and downgrade

  1. 1If a charge does not go through (not enough balance, or the permission is no longer live) a grace period of 5 days opens and we let you know.
  2. 2During grace you keep selling normally. Leaving enough balance is all it takes for the charge to complete and everything to carry on.
  3. 3If grace ends with no charge, your account goes back to explorer and your templates are hidden from the catalogue. Nothing is deleted: reviews, sales and history stay intact.
  4. 4On reactivation, your templates are published again exactly as they were.

The membership never locks your money. Even downgraded, My sales and My wallet stay open and your sales in escrow are released as usual.

Cancelling and reactivating

  1. 1Cancel from Subscription whenever you want: nothing to request, nobody to wait for.
  2. 2You stop renewing, but you remain a seller until the date you already paid for.
  3. 3If you change your mind before that date, reactivating charges nothing: it just resumes the renewal.

Cancelling and withdrawing your money are always available, even while a charge is failing. Cancelling the permission in the contract leaves the operator unable to charge you again.

Promo codes

  • Bernuvia codes gift whole membership periods and apply when you activate (or reactivate from suspended), never on top of a live membership.
  • One use per account and per code; personal ones are tied to an email and only that account can redeem them.
  • Even when activation comes out free, you still sign the billing permission, so the future renewal is ready.
  • They do not stack with the referral gift: the larger of the two applies.
  • These codes have nothing to do with the discounts you create on your own templates.
