Buying a template
From finding it in Explore to having it in My purchases: paying with USDC and escrow, step by step.
Where to start
The catalog lives in Explore (and, once you're signed in, in Marketplace). You can buy from two places:
- From the catalog card: the blue Buy button opens the quick purchase in a modal, without leaving the page.
- From the template page: open the template and use the purchase block on the right, with the price, the Buy button, Add to cart and the Have a promo code? box (the code can only be applied from the template page or the cart, not in the quick purchase).
If the template is free you'll see Download for free instead of Buy: there's no payment, it goes straight into your purchases.
The payment, step by step
- 1Sign in if you haven't yet: the modal itself lets you create an account or log in without losing the purchase.
- 2Activate your wallet (only the first time, or if you switched browsers): we send a 6-digit code to your email; type it in and press Confirm and continue.
- 3Check your balance: you'll see your address, your USDC balance and how much you're short if it's not enough. If you're short, you can deposit right there — see Depositing into Bernuvia.
- 4Press Pay N USDC. You'll see the sequence: creating the order → preparing gas → approving USDC → sending the payment → confirming on the network. It's two transactions on Polygon and Bernuvia covers the gas.
- 5Once confirmed you'll see «Payment complete! The template is yours.» with the Download in My purchases button. You'll also get a receipt by email.
Your money doesn't reach the seller right away: it stays protected in the escrow contract for 24 hours. If something goes wrong, you can open a dispute before it expires. More on the protection in Protected payments.
Rules worth knowing
- You can't buy your own template or one you already own (it will tell you «You already own this template; it's in My purchases»).
- The payment quote expires after 15 minutes; if it lapses, a new one is generated when you retry.
- There's a safety cap of 20 purchases started per hour; if you hit it, wait a few minutes.
- A purchase that ended up refunded (through a dispute) can't be bought again.
