Buy a template

The catalogue lives in Explore. Every template has a listing with the price, what is included, screenshots and reviews. You can buy from two places.

• From the catalogue card: the Buy button opens the quick checkout without leaving the page.
• From the listing: the purchase block on the right adds Add to cart and the promo code box.
• If the template is free you will see Download for free: no payment and no escrow.

Before a cent moves, Bernuvia issues a signed quote for that purchase: who buys, from whom, how much, at what fee and with what release window. The escrow contract only accepts a payment that matches that signature exactly, so you cannot be overcharged.

• The quote expires after 15 minutes. If it lapses, a new one is issued when you try again.
• The final price is confirmed by the server at payment time: what you see with the code applied is what is charged.
• The fee is fixed in that order, at 3.8%, and does not change even if the platform changes it later.

1. 1Sign in. The checkout itself lets you log in or create an account without losing the purchase.
2. 2Activate your wallet if this is the first time in that browser: a 6 digit code arrives in your email.
3. 3Check your USDC balance. If it falls short you can top up without leaving the checkout; the detail is in Deposit into Bernuvia.
4. 4Press Pay. These are two transactions on Polygon and Bernuvia covers the gas.
5. 5Once confirmed, the order is paid and in escrow, and a receipt reaches your email.

The seller gets the sale notice and sees the order in their panel, but does not see your money: the contract holds it, not them.

• They can mark the order as delivered. That pays them nothing, it only leaves a record.
• They can refund you on their own as long as no dispute is open.
• During a dispute they have no on chain action: they only add their side in the case thread.

Your purchase shows up in My purchases as soon as the payment is confirmed, and the file downloads from that same moment, with your money still in escrow. You do not wait for the release: you download first and the window keeps running.

When you pay, the order gets a release date: 24 hours later. In My purchases a live counter tells you how much is left.

• If you do nothing, the payment is released to the seller when the window ends, minus the fee.
• If you open a dispute before it ends, the release freezes until there is a resolution.
• The window cannot be paused or extended on request; opening the dispute in time is the only way to stop the release.

• The cart gathers several templates and pays for them at once, with one order per template: each with its own escrow and its own window.
• Promo codes are created by each seller and only discount their own templates; they apply on the listing or in the cart, not in the quick checkout.
• If a code covers only part of the cart, you are told before paying and the rest is charged at its normal price.
